We couldn’t get there until late. So, they were very nice about leaving keys for us and instructions. We had had a long day planning a wedding in Aspen. When we got there we walked around the building to hear a beautiful rushing river. Walked into the room and was thrilled. It was clean, neat and tidy and most of all it had a ceiling fan! I couldn’t have been happier. Plus it was a quarter of the cost of staying in downtown Aspen. It was well worth the drive. Both my husband and I woke up and said “I could stay here again”.
Had a one night stay for a soccer tournament and this was the most reasonable place close to the fields. Do not let the humble appearance of the outside fool you. The rooms were very comfortable and super clean. Breakfast, while small, was perfect for a quick start. Over all great stay and will be recommended to any travel headed this way.
Loved this hotel! If you don't need AC, if a ceiling fan will do, request Building A right on the river! (They also have another building with AC). It's near quaint old town Basalt and a short walk to the bus stop to catch the tricked out busses to Glenwood and to Aspen!
The Aspenalt Lodge is legendary! The rooms are clean with plenty of space, overlooking a beautiful river! The management is very responsive and even reached out to me to make sure we checked into our room on time! Their continental breakfast slaps and it’s super affordable! Only a 30 minute drive to Aspen and a third of the price of any hotels in Aspen! This place is awesome!!!
The thown is small, so our staying was pleasant and quiet, the rooms are clean have everything that you need and our room was in front of the river. So beautiful peaceful view. Had a continental breakfast and spend time drinking my tea in front of the river. Highly recommended
Affordable place just 20 min before Aspen and Snowmas with breakfast, included , very clean the only thing they need improve is the beds most of the people staying there are travelers and the only time you spend there is the night so definitely need a quality sleep so please improve the beds
Stayed here while working in Aspen and when we need to extend our stay, Denise helped us out and made it super easy! She is wonderful! Having the experience of a long-time local who is down-to-earth (which is not always the case in around here) to chat with made the stay that much better. Will stay here again based on how she treated us! Thanks Denise!
A great option for a stay at a very good value. We stayed while doing a day down in Aspen. The room was nice clean,comfortable, and reasonably sized. Easily as good as options from the bigger names at their mid price level. The view of the river was fantastic, parking was easy, and there was a nice selection of quick items for breakfast. The service was great, very polite and helpful. The bus to Aspen is a short walk away, less than 5 minutes.
